My 11 year old daughter Sylvie and I discovered your site when we were searching for her name on Google. I am a fellow Doug as well, and grew up in Brewer Maine or the former “East” Holden Maine outside of Brewer, if you want to be more specific. My parents live in Scarborough Maine at Piper Shores in the Winter and on Frenchmen Bay in the spring through the fall, where we also have a family house and vacation for a few wonderful weeks every summer. We have numerous friends in the Portland area and now live outside Boston. While we only saw a fraction of the pictures of your incredible trip and mostly the ones in the Acadia area, we saw so many parallels and just had to reach out and say “Hi.” Thanks for the time staking and careful effort you must have gone through to document your fantastic trip, unwittingly during a rather unique time in American and world history on top of everything to be traveling and seeing different parts of the country.
